I have a lump in my throat reading it. Just recently we had some financial difficulties we couldn't overcome no matter what we did. We didn't feel the presence of the Lord either. We asked Him if we were ok with him-had we done something? Our confidence was low also due to losing long time friends. After a few days of praying and asking/waiting, God was so very good. A friend had an encouraging word. Then the church sent a gift to the family. Rob also got some much needed employment. I wanted to cry. We never told anyone but God about our troubles. God is so very good. And He's here, Praise His Name! I know we shouldn't "need" affirmation to feel connected to God, but sometimes....we just need to feel He's there. I know you know what I mean.
