If only people knew….

how hard we have to work….

to keep it “only” this messy.

And um…no, the baby is NOT smoking in the middle picture. She’s eating a candy cane. Where *should* a baby eat a candy cane?

This made my day in the midst of “trying to do it all”. Thanks.

Hey! It’s apparent that you actually HAVE a dining table, so I think you have one up on me. Heehee. Oh, and I can think of no better place for a baby to have a candy cane. I only like to give out popsicles to the littles when they are outside, running through the sprinkler. I think that might make me mean. I’m not sure. *lol*

looks good to me!

Should I clarify why she’s in the sink?
She’s become petrified of taking a bath. I figure, why run a tub of water if she’s only going to stay for less than a minute while someone scrubs her? She seems to think the sink is dandy right now…so…we go with that. I’m assuming she’ll outgrow it. I hope so, anyway.

And the condition of the house has downgraded since I’ve posted….
but we do have fresh homemade banana bread for supper.
Doing it all? Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.
That’s what I really think!

justin went through a stage like that too…only for two months…in the summer and he liked his bucket outside. So…it worked for us.

Hey, not that there is anything wrong with bathing babies in the sink.
) I wash all kiddos in the sink, so long as I can squeeze them in it. heehee

Oh, absolutely, Jenna.
I was just covering myself in case anyone thought it odd.
I am hoping, however, that she outgrows it before she is 15.

Funny, Holly, I was just considering taking a picture of our laundry room in the spirit of “keeping it real”. You would have been afraid, very afraid.

Thank you for the reminder, Holly, that our lives are not the sum of our laundry and dishes.
But are made up of those special moments…like little girls smoking candy canes in a sink bath.
Oh! How I love your pictures!

That is *so* true.
Often times, when Dean gets home at night, I remind him (not that he asks for it) that I honestly *did* work very hard today ~ there is simply no evidence to support that fact!!
Thanks Holly~
(p.s. I give sink baths until they are simply too big to fit….easier on my back, less water, not as scary for lil’ ones. Guess I’m not as odd as I thought – or we’re BOTH really odd – whatever!!!

I’m looking for the “like” button.

I appreciate your perspective!

Cleaning and scrubbing
Can wait til tomorrow
For babies grow up
We’ve learned to our sorrow
So quiet down cobwebs
Dust go to sleep
I’m rocking my baby
And babies don’t keep
Saw that in a catalog once and loved it. Looks to me like you’re an awesome mom.
