Do you have an old shirt or pair of overalls that once belonged to your Grandpa? Maybe you have a tablecloth that was your Grandma’s, or one of her beloved shirts…but you can’t really enjoy them every day because they are tucked away in a box in the basement.

If you would like to take these memories out of the box, and put them out where you can enjoy them every day, I can help.

I have been making these sweet little bears for my own nieces and nephews for over 18 years. The bears are simple, and soft…a perfect way to “hug a memory.” Why keep something tucked away, when it can be hugged and enjoyed?

So many fabrics can be used…a baby blanket, a vintage skirt, an old bedspread…just use your imagination!

The bears have different pricings, based upon difficulty of the item that needs to be taken apart.  I take extra time and care with your fabric, as I know that it is special and irreplaceable to you.  I will do my best to re-inforce weak fabric so that it will last, and sometimes that takes a little big longer.  Basic pricing is below.  Special handling may incur an extra small charge.  I have checked into other memory-style bears, and am surprised at the prices charged.  I promise never to extort you for your memories – they are very important to your life and well-being and healing from grief; I will always and only charge a fair wage for the time and attention that it takes for me to place the bear in your arms.  I like to use unique and charming buttons for the eyes when possible; and also a quality ribbon when applicable.

If the fabric is a flat item, such as a blanket, the price is $20.00 plus shipping.  Soft clothing that has to be taken apart is $25 per bear.

If the fabric is a heavy denim, or an item that involves a lot of “taking apart,” the price is $30.00. (Heavy fabrics are hard to hand sew.  Soft denim will only be $25.)

I can embroider a name or add a patch with details if you need.  (Add $5 for these services.)

I am also able to make smaller bears, for different prices.

Shipping will be based upon actual cost, only, plus delivery confirmation with a signature.  (I do this to ensure that the fabric is not lost in the mail.)
